Do WebCertificates expire? I'm very close to earning my first $10, in less than a month (like two weeks), but I'll probably wait until I accumulate more points before redeeming.
Originally posted by cuterlt I believe it's 3 years. I do remember reading somewhere that you can ask them to renew it also. Just watch out for dormancy fees.....
Does it Expire?
Your Webcertificate Account expires THREE YEARS from the date it was claimed. However, if there's still a balance in your account at the three-year mark, we'll extend your expiration date.
Some "special offer" Webcertificates expire 6 months after activation. This will be indicated on the Webcertificate.
We'll send you a friendly email reminder one month prior to your Webcertificate expiration date.
Please review our Disclosures and Fees for more information.
What's this "Account Dormancy Fee"?
Your account may be subject to a monthly "Account Dormancy Fee." (Note: $3/month until there is nothing left in your account or it becomes "active" again) An inactive account is defined as an account that meets all three of the following criteria:
1. You have not claimed a Webcertificate within the applicable inactive time period. To determine the inactive time period that applies to your account, please visit the Disclosures and Fees section. (Note: usually 6 months)
2. Your Webcertificate has not been used for a purchase for 90 days or more.
3. Your Webcertificate has not had funds added to it for 90 days or more.
Thanks Eilonwy. I did a lot of agreement reading lately and while on their site last I didn't have the patience to search for the information you've posted. I knew I could count on the DIS for a speedy reply.
