I had a $25 webcert. from mypoints so I thought I'd use it at the Disney Store to get a $25 gift card. From reading on here, I knew that Disney will charge $1.00 to the card and then send through the $25 (and I assume reverse the $1 charge) So, to prevent an insufficient fund scenario, I called webcert. and after a call to a supervisor, they put an extra $1 onto the account. I then ordered my gift cert. but it wouldn't go through. The message stated
" Your Credit Card issuer has reported that we cannot accept the amount of your current purchase.
To verify the transmission of your order and/or place another one, please call Guest Services "
So, I called Disney Guest Services and was told that I couldn't use webcertificates to purchase a gift card even though it goes in as a Mastercard. I asked her to repeat that back to me as I thought you could. (I know you can't used Disney On-line certs., Disney Visa rewards cards or other Disney Gift Certs for these)
Has this happened to anyone? I guess I can wait awhile and try again or just order the plastic card and take it to the disney store. Or, can Gift certs. be ordered over the phone? What would you suggest? TIA.
