Webcast incentives - Vacation as you wish update

It was geared toward new members but incentives are

160-199pts = $96
200-269pts = $94
270-319pts = $92
320-499pts = $91
500+ = $89

I'm sure someone will correct me if I got it wrong. I was viewing in and out as most of it was how the program works.

There was nothing in the webcast about changes in the incentives for add on contracts for members.

It was really geared to new buyers and thus the reason I think the incentives started at the 160 level.

I believe the 125 pt is $96 for BLT. The only thing they mentioned about current members is they will tell you they wish they would have bought in earlier and what a great deal DVC is for their family. It was 100% geared towards new buyers.

Interesting... I am signed up for the Saturday webcast. I have paperwork sitting here for a 200 point add on at BLT ($96/pt)... This would save me $400, or maybe time to up it to 300!! It would be like getting the next 100 at $85/pt! Or how about 320? That would be like getting an extra 120 for $82.66/pt!!

Go for the 500 at $89 per pt (too tired to do your math!) if you don't you will hate yourself in the morning. Better call tomorrow because I'm sure BLT will be sold out at these prices by Friday. I feel so sorry for the webcasters on the weekend............BLT will be sold out by then

I just called guide yesterday for a 125 add on but serriously thinking of 200 or 270

BIt confused whether I will need to do anything - I bought 110 pts at AKV & 55 pts at BLT using referral discount - I have sent back cntract but not paid anything yet - am I going to be better off or not now by switching to rhis incentive??

For the webcast they claim you need to have signed up and only offered to those people, whether that is true or not who knows

But the prices reflect discounts and you don't need a referal. They didn't say if it was for only BLT or not but they only discussed BLT. They had guides after on a website for online chat to answer questions.

I wonder if this is what the new incentives will be starting 6/15?? I can't believe they would have a better offer for non members than they have for members. At a minimum I would think it would at least be equal...

This incentive started yesterday after the webcast and runs through the 20th I believe. The webcasters made it a point on several occations to say the incentive was only good for those who registered for the webcast, no one else. Now if they hold to that will be a different story.

Although it seems kinda lame, it's pretty likely it's only for people who signed up for the webcast- my guide (who I had been in contact with previously) knew I was signed up for the webcast, and which one I was signed up for, before I told him, so it must be attached to whatever "profile" they have set up for prospective buyers. And yeah, they definitely did make a point of that during the webcast itself.

I believe a referral is irrelevant for these deals, just need to have been "referred" by the webcast, though the person who you claim as a referral should still be able to get their bonus for referring you. Also, these incentives were for BLT only so they probably won't apply in your case.

Amy...The referral on your record changes nothing with whatever incentive you do with this webcast special.
Call your guide and have him/her see what would be more $$ beneficial for your circumstances. All can be subjest to change until your closing.
I spoke to my guide last night and this webcast incentive is only for BLT not AKV newbies, and, I also believe he said the pt. minimum was 160 pts. (Remember...switching would/might mean changes to your AKV pt. allocation)

BTW.... I heard that the "new" discount for BLT after 6/15 will be only a $5. savings off the original price....not as good as the now $8. + a referral and all the extras. I don't know anything else about additional discounts or AKV or THV's...yet.

I paid $96 per point. The new rate is $91 per point. I paid $1850 more than the folks that got notified by their guides of the webinar. I am not happy. What bothers me most is that the other sales incentive is still in place. The one that gives $14 off the add on of 200+ points. So I paid more than is currently being offered to others and that is inherently not fair or ethical.

I don't blame you for being unhappy. Not sure how people got notified, I got the info on this site. I don't think the intention was for current members but yeah new members getting better pricing

I am new to the club. I visited DW a couple weeks ago during the rain storms...my luck...and ended up under the DVC tent. I ended up taking the tour and am in the process of signing up. I watched the webcast last night and have a call to take advantage of the extra discount. I think I won the second prize..Mickey painting..How cool is that...I never win anything.

I also paid $96 instead of $91. I called my guide and was told that since my contract closed last night, there was nothing that could be done.

I went from feeling very happy when I bought to very upset now. If you contract hasn't closed I would push them on it.

I do wonder though if my contract has in fact really closed or was I fed a line to get me to go away.
