web certificate question

In response to a post about Bingo, someone mentioned that they use their web certificates as credit cards since they have a small balance. This seems like such a good idea. I was wondering if there is a way to set up a web certificate account. That is, can you create a web certificate for yourself through some site or is it only something that large companies can give to you? Does that make sense? I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good way to create a "credit card" type account to use for trail offers that doesn't involve giving them my "real" credit card number.

Thanks,
Tammi

Yep, you can. Just go to webcertificate.com. You can pay for a credit card number, with a purchase of a webcertificate. There are fees for not using it for certain periods, etc. Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I've tried to use my webbie for "trial" offers, it is not accepted.
Good luck! I love my webbie!!

Hi that was me.

Maybe that's why mypoints is always manually crediting my account but so far I haven't missed out on any points. I'm waiting for another webbie to do the drugstore.com 600 points email.

But I always use the webbie account to do trial offers such as Reflect.com, NewYorkCasino.com, & shopping at mypoints.

Just hope it continues to work - its been great for me!:

Thanks everyone. I'm still learnig my way around these reward sites. So, all of this information is great.
