Web Camera icon on desktop

umm, right click, delete.

for windows.

To just get rid of the icon, click on it and drag it to your Recycle Bin icon. The right click the recycle bin and click on empty.

when i right-click it, it gives me the option to 'auto hide' or 'close' but it always comes back after i log back on the computer

it won't move to the recycle bin either

What type of operating system are you using?

WINDOWS? WHAT VERSION?

MAC?

You could go to the control panel and remove the software that runs the camera.

Have to agree, with vista it seems a bit twitchy on some of the "features"
