Just a few days left before we go!! really looking forward to it but the weather appears to be cooling down dramatically, I realise you can't always trust the forecast so anyone know what it is really like at present.
Thank you

Rain

I too would really like to know what the weather is like from UK Diser's who are just back. It's OK to read the forecast and to get reports from the American's but, because they come from far and wide, they have different interpretations of whats hot. It's looking a bit better today. I check orlandoweather and accuweather daily, they differ sometimes and I have been told not to trust the extended forecast.

What are you packing by the way? I'm taking a variety shorts & t-shirts hopefully for the daytime, long sleeved tops and jeans/trousers for the evening ang a light jacket.

It looks like we will be there before you and if I can get on a computer I will post to let you know my first impression of what it feels like.

Have a great trip

Debbie

Yes, it has been nippy there, but it could be 80 in the shade by the time you arrive. Winter FL weather is weird.

Hi Debbie,
Clothing wise we have packed the same as yourself really. lots of shorts and tee shirts, a couple of cardigans (wear one on plane) a fleece jacket just in case, a couple of dresses which I may not even wear, skirts , i pair comfy linen trousers. 2 pairs of sandals and only the shoes I am going in.
I have also packed coffee, tea and mince pies!

We fly on 29th but are staying in the airport hotel Raddison on 28th.
We have been in December a few years ago, and we had frost in the morning but by afternoon it was hot. We was told at the time that it was freak weather, now I am not so sure.
Well Debbie, if we make a mistake with our packing it is a good excuse for retail therapy.
It is our first time hiring a car, hope I dont freak driving on the opposite side of the road.

Hello Rain

We too are driving this time, didn't last year but did in 1989. I remember it being easier than on the continent, after all the cars are automatic and the signs are in English!!!!! Found this site http://www.orlando-maps.info/ which may help you at least to get out of the airport!!! Where are you staying? What are you planning to see there?

Deb

Hi Debbie,
We are staying at the Marriott Orlando World Center. Tuesday night we have booked MVMCP. Saturday Night we have booked The Candlelight Processional Dinner, meal at Le Cellier. We have booked an annual pass at Sea World (We are going again in April)We also have a five day Disney Pass which we are considering upgrading to an annual. The rest is unplanned.
How about you, where are you staying etc.
Lynda

Hello Lynda,

Ours is a bit of a "made it up as I went along" holiday! Firstly I booked a week at Vistana resort through our timeshare exchange company. Then I decided to add a few days at Disney to it, All-Star Sports 3 nights (after Vistana) Then because of the strike situation I panicked and altered our flights which means we now have 2 more nights, which are at the start of our holiday, and these we are spending at the Royal Pacific at Universal (thought we had better because we get front of line access and it is Thanksgiving). So there really is a bit of everything in there-bit of nightmare packing/unpacking!!!!! We have 5 park flex tickets and tickets for MVMCP on 6/12. We might get to MGM on the Sunday before we come back, as we would like to see the Osborne Lights and go on RNRc & ToT! (fave rides from last trip!) Don't feel the need to go back to Epcot this time, or AK. (we were on-site in May/June of last year and well and truly did Disney!!!) Looking forward to Seaworld & Busch as well as Universal's parks.

I am quite envious of your trip to Le Cellier, we really liked it there, just didn't like the price of the wine!!!! How many of you are travelling?

Debbie

Hi Debbie,
just the two of us going, son now in his twenty's does not want to come with us. Glad you liked le Cellier we have never been. Your trip sounds interesting, who are you flying with? We are flying British midland/united via Washington.
I have just found out there is a rocket launch on December 4th, maybe we will get to see it.
We have re-booked for Easter and on that trip we are staying Hilton DTD via Priceline.
Is it Thursday you travel?
Lynda

Hi Lynda

We are flying with Virgin, it's a flydrive package on Wednesday 11.15am. Just cannot wait to get there now, it's been a long time in the planning!!!

Hope the two of you have a great time!

Deb

Got back on Wednesday morning.

Weather for previous 2 weeks

1 full day of rain (and it really, really rained)
1 day temp around 63 F, overcast and windy - felt very cold (next day after rain). These 2 days were a storm that travelled on North and caused chaos all along the East Coast with floods, snow and freezing rain as it went.
3 days temp 68 - 73 F but sunny - long trousers and T-Shirts, fleece in the mornings
9/10 days of temps 73 - 78 F and sunny or partially sunny - felt pleasantly warm in T-Shirt and shorts - 1 day there was no wind and it felt hot!

Always cooler in the mornings and evenings - particularly when the sky was clear so definitely need a sweatshirt or fleece then.
