Oh I am sure you will. We have gone in July/August which are Florida's wettest months, hence all the beautiful tropical plants you see. They don't call it the Sunshine State for nothing.

HI we're going next monday and just taking shorts and vests, maybe a cardi for the plane but thats it. We will have our ponchos and if it rains we will still be out there in it all. The good thing about the rain is it keeps people away so the queues are shorter

Good point about lines. I went the same time as Jackie who has written a trip report. One day we were both at Hollywood Studios but at different times. We had went first thing, got lots done, then the heaven's opened so legged it out of the park. Jackie had had a relaxing morning then went in to the Studios later in the day and there were no crowds and minimal lines, everyone had gone when it had rained. So it may be worth your while going in to a park after a downpour because it will have cleared out.

Oh that would be great we are thinking of getting the flexi pass for the parks I was told they help to cut back on queues also.

I might have to buy a poncho before the parks I remember buying one at Universal in LA after being warned on a ride and I was sodden it was as useful as a chocolate teapot !

The ponchos you buy in the theme parks tear quite easily... we usually have them split around the neck after a while...

anyway... a TIP! If you take a torn one to any stall which sells them, they will replace it free of charge.

Neither Disney's nor Universal's normal tickets cut back on line time. Universal do sell a ticket which allows a fast pass entry to each of their rides once, this is in addition to your ticket price. Alternatively, staying onsite allows front of the line access to rides which cuts lines times right down at the two Universal parks.

Ponchos are no good on any of the water rides at Orlando, you will get wet - just accept it. Especially at the Islands of Adventure.

We usually go towards the end of September and have to say in the 7 times we have been we can count the rainy days/ afternoon storms on one hand. As others have said it can sometimes be quite chilly at night but we have also had it too hot at night, so a light cardigan or jumper may be a good idea. During the day defo shorts and tee shirts.

most people seem to be answering based on the Sept weather they have experienced - and I'd agree, in Sept it's usually very hot and usually sunny with some temporary downpours... but the tropical storm season is more active than usual this year:

We're going to WDW this week and I'm looking forward to it - I don't care about the weather - I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be wet or, if necessary, holed up watching movies...

We were there during Hurricane Floyd, which we were told was the first time WDW had closed the parks (don't know if that was true) - flashlights distributed to all rooms, etc. Incredible wind - almost could not take a step forward. Exciting experience!
We were also there on 9/11 2001. We were told that was the second time the parks had been closed - evacuated, that time. Very bad experience.

Not expecting hurricane this time, but wet/cloudy/windy a possibility... For some reason this doesn't bother me. The heat and tropical climate make it so much nicer than cold clammy English rain.
