After receiving wise counsel from the many DISers who responded to a similar post, "Weather wimps reconsidering Nov./Dec. plan" we have decided to stay with Plan A and go to WDW right after Thanksgiving.
Thank you for reassuring me that the benefits (compared to scorching hot, crowded summer visits) far outweigh any potential weather disappointments.
Having said that, a word of caution to all those planning a trip for Nov. 23 to Dec. 2. My track record with vacation weather is less than stellar. I am forecasting record lows for Orlando during our visit. Look for the family decked out in Paul Bunyan flannels and snowmobile suits.
