Make sure you check more than one - they often have reports that vary significantly..

At the lake, weather.com is usually more accurate for that area than accuweather..

Most days you probably "could" do better.. In their defense though, the weather can change in the blink of an eye so we can't be "too" hard on them..

Same here and like others have said, weather isn't an exact science and there are so many variables that it can change rapidly.

I like accuweather and wunderground for basic forecasts.

For major events like hurricanes and this weekend's east coast snow, I read weather forums. A lot of it is over my head, but I find it interesting and like to hear the different opinions. The weather forum I like for east coast snow is

Obviously NO ONE can predict the weather accurately where I live...local or weather.com.

We were SUPPOSED to get 1-3" of snow, and we only got rain.

I think my big toe could predict weather more accurately
