Weather to expect in January

Hi everyone,
My dh and I have just booked to go to WDW and Vero beach in Jan (it's the only chance we have in the near future for a holiday) and we are wondering what the weather is likely to be like? What kind of temps are normal and what are the chances of rain etc?

Hi - I don't think there will be much rainfall but temperatures will be on the cool side, especially in the morning and evening.

Generally it tends to be sunny but cool, possiby high's in the 60s and if you are lucky the odd 70 degree day.

We were down this past January and the days werelow to mid 70's to and one day low 80's and nights were chilly.It was like a tropical heat wave to us ( as we live in NY)where anything above 20 is great during January!

We've been around that time of year several times and it's tended to be a mixed bag - several surprisingly warm days (into the 80s) and a few chilly (but sunny) days, too. The good news is that you'll be unlucky to get rain, but it is very unpredictable and frosts aren't unheard of. No matter how warm it is during the day, it does tend to cool off later - you won't get those balmy evenings. My advice is to take some warmer clothes and be prepared to layer up if necessary. Keep an eye on the forecast daily. We've been caught out a few times - the warmer days can lull you into a false sense of security. Sun doesn't necessarily equal warm at that time of year.
