We will be coming from the East coast 4/22-4/30. Next week the weather looks Awesome! Nice and sunny and warm! The following week not so much. I see on most apps in the low 70's and some days rain. UGH!

I am hoping/praying that changes since I was hoping to take the kids to the beach some days. I know in New England they are horrible at predicting weather and we take it with a grain of salt.

What are your experiences with CA weather. Is predicting that far out accurate or do things change constantly like over here?

Just trying not to worry and trying to figure out what to pack!

Thanks!

We are also at the park that week. Just 4 days ago it was saying sunny and 75 everyday so it can change pretty quickly. The most accurate forecast will probably be around next friday.
Sometimes a bit of showers can be helpful with crowds, just make sure to pack some cheap rain ponchos from Walmart or cvs. They pack small and can make the difference in enjoying the rides while everyone else is huddle inside the stores :) The ones in the park are expensive.

I'm in the same boat ( 24April-01May ) and the weather predictions have changed over the last couple of days. On the bright side, cool rainy weather may be a blessing.- I've been in DL when it's been over 100 and it is soooo draining!

I was hoping for slightly hotter weather, I have a couple of cabana days booked and will likely have to cancel them if the weather doesn't improve. :(

Low to mid 80's would be great for us, the kids definitely want to swim and wear their summer clothes. I'll definitely be packing the poncho's but REALLY hope it doesn't rain!

I go at the same time. I don't trust the forecast until a few days before... but that won't stop me from checking at least 10 days before. :)

I'm going that week too, the 23rd-30th! I'm not going to bother looking at the weather until mid next week, I know things can change. I just don't want rain, I was hoping for some California sunshine!

We will be in the parks on the 30th and I'm hoping for decent weather as well, but we've been there when it DUMPED rain and we know what to expect now, so no worries if we do get some rain, too.

We will also be there April 24-30. Was hoping for some warm and sunny days, since we had a huge snowstorm in Colorado over this last weekend! So ready to wear shorts and flip flops!

CA weather has been strange lately. Scorching hot one day, rainy and windy the next. Just got back from Anaheim yesterday and was dressed for warm weather majority of the day. I'd bring a sweatshirt/zip up hoodie as it gets a little windy at night.

Same boat! 26th-29th. I have been checking the weather for a month now (Accuweather). It has gone from sunny and almost 80, to raining everyday and high 60s, and now back to low 70s and cloudy. Since it is a short trip, I am trying to avoid checking a bag (flying from East coast). It is hard though to pack for winter/spring/summer all in one bag!

I've been checking 3 different weather apps daily and they are all different! Yahoo weather having the worst weather, showing rain on Wednesday and Thursday next week. The other 2 show no rain and mid to upper 70's. I'm going with those 2...ha ha.

The forecast for April 30th changed from showers for a couple of hours during a cloudy day to plenty of sunshine and chance of a shower late at night. I hope it stays pretty close to that now!

Meteorologists will tell you any forecast for more than 72 hours is at best a educated guess (for anywhere, not just So. Cal.), so I wouldn't freak out about rain forecasts for mid-week next week quite yet . Between the long-term drought and the occasional heavy El Nino storms that So. Cal. has been having, it's far less than a "typical" year. The average rainfall for the month of April is less than a inch.
