Weather in September

Planning to go to DL last 2 weeks in September, is it still pretty hot? I have been in early September and it was around 100 degreees which was fabulous!!

We went at the end of September two years ago and it was chilly and misty--was this atypical?

Yes, chilly and misty is definitely atypical in late September! My b'day is 9/29, and I'm a So Cal native; my very clear memory of almost every single b'day (39 spent here) is of days in the range of 85-95. Can be hotter, but usually not; what is more likely is the winds that make it very, very dry. However, as is usual for CA all year round, it cools down very nicely at night!

My oldest friend/children's godmother was born on 9/29 also!

I'm glad I happened onto this thread--we were set to bring cool weather clothes because of our experience the last time we were there! 9/29 is almost exactly smack dab in the middle of our vacation.

September is unpredictable. You can get one or two days of cold misty weather, then 3 days of mid to high 90s with the next day being in the 70s. Makes it difficult to figure out from one day to the next what to wear. Of course most months are that way. One year a few years back we hit 90 at least one day in every month of the year.
