Is it hot in September? Does it rain a lot? What is the weather like at night? I'm thinking ahead of what I'll need to pack!

The last two septembers have been so hot we never took our hoodies out of the suitcase, it is so muggy we would change outfits in the afternoon during our break. It usually rains once a day for 10 minutes then clears up. The rain comes out of nowhere but never lasts very long. Bring dollar store ponchos.

I always take 1 sweater, but only for the air conditioning, to be comfortable eating dinner!!!! Other than that, just tanks and shorts! Enjoy!:thumbsup2

HOT, HOT, HOT! Did I mention it was HOT! :rotfl:

When we were there in 2007, it rained (or thunderstorm'd) every afternoon for a brief period. We had a few late evenings with storms too!

Look at it this way, you're at Disney and it's not snow! :rotfl2:

Pack lots of tanks and shorts!

We were there last September from the 7th to the 17th. It rained twice during our ten day stay but it wasn't for the whole day. It was hot, bright and sunny the rest of the time :) I brought a couple of sweaters and just used them at night in our hotel room. Bring lots of sunscreen, a rain poncho, shorts, tanks/t-shirts, good pair of walking shoes and you should be good to go. Enjoy!

We were there at the end of Sept in 2007 and it was very hot and very humid. Don't forget you're still in hurricane season, so you never know!

We were there last September from the 17th to the 27th. Perfect weather in my opinion. Sunny and warm. Average temps in the mid 80's. We were leaving just as the Love bugs arrived. The last day at the pool was interesting with all of those bugs.:rolleyes1 (They were late this year) We only needed our rain ponchos for Splash mountain.:thumbsup2

We were also there in October 2007 from the 3rd to the 13th. The love bugs had just departed and it was a heat wave. Even the locals were complaining about the heat. The cast members at our resort said it was just like weather in July. Hot, Hot, Hot. I loved it. Except for Animal Kingdom, it always seems hotter at AK. We did have a brief rain storm daily. Used those dollar store ponchos. We also did laundry because we needed to change our shirts a couple of times a day.

I made my parents bring a pair of shorts under protest. They both never wear shorts at home. The first day was the only day they wore pants. They were both thankful that I made them bring them. I always pack a sweater and pants just incase too.

I second that! What the heck are love bugs???

It will be hot and humid in the morning and will pour buckets most afternoons.
Humid at night too. Florida is humid. Humid I mention that?

Our last two trips were in September and dang, it's hot. Last year was hotter than the previous year. However, you don't go to Florida for the arctic breezes, right?:lmao:
It's not unbearable, there are plenty of air conditioned spots to hop into.
Bring your dollar store ponchos for the expected burst of rain and Splash Mountain and Kali Rapids. They're a bargain compared to walking around soaking wet all day in the humidity.
Love bugs are little beetle type bugs with a bit of red on them. It's mating season, so they're...ahem...stuck together...all over the place! They don't bite, they don't cause any harm, there's just a ton of them. Just brush them off your seat or your arm, wherever they may land. They won't hurt you at all. It's just an incredible amount of them in pockets here and there. Mostly around areas with water.

We got the first two weeks of September every year because it is such great weather! Bring shorts and tee's....as one poster said above, a sweater for air conditioning, but you should be good to go!! :cool1:

I guess we can leave the jeans at home, as well as the heavy sweatshirts. My DH is still not convinced it will be that warm. The best example I could give him was the hot and humid days in July and August. Hope I was accurate. :cool2:

I have been in mid Sept and beginning of October, both times it was very hot and humid, but I loved it!!!! It was so humid that a lot of my early morning pics didn't turn out because of the humidity on my lens. Both times the weather was great, it rained only two days and one of them was while we were in Typhoon Lagoon, everyone just stayed in the pool. Was really quite funny!

Loved it and have booked for mid Sept again this year!

HOT HOT HOT!!!!!! Rained once for 5 minutes and we were on the bus on the way to Epcot so we never felt any of it! We are going back this September so the heat doesn't keep us from going. Have fun!

Hot hot hot humid humid... Jeans & sweatshirt, are you crazy? At times I couldn't bear the sensation of my tiny cami top sticking to my body! Mind you, there was this guy in line next to me in full sun with a pair of jeans and dark t-shirt with no beads of sweat on his body, while I was roasting! But I guess he'd die in our -30C in January...

Last year the crazy hot September temp was a welcome after our horrible cold rainy summer here! Kind of small second chance at summer. We're going again this year.

Sounds like my DH. He'll be in jeans and sweatshirt, while I'm lovin' the heat in my shorts and cami. Looks like I won't need to back as much ...jeans and sweatshirts take up more room than the bikinis and shorts :cool1:
