Hello!

What can I expect the weather to be in Sept @ WDW??

I am sure it'll be way better than Chicago's at that time of year!

TIA!

I just went to www.weather.com and looked up the averages for Orlando in Sept. It said the low was about 72 and the high was about 90.

The last time we went in Sept, I remember it being warm, but not stifling. I was uncomfortably warm for one day. Also, Florida is in the thick of hurricane season in September, so get your trip insurance.

We were there last September 14 - 22 and my husband compared it to vacationing on the surface of the sun. On Saturday, September 14 at Magic Kingdom the heat index was 108 degrees. It was hot!!!

We were there last year Sept 1-7 and it was extremely hot and humid. I don't remember any rain that week either.

However, the year before that we were there Sept.18-24 and only one day was miserable. The rest of the week was hot, but not horrible. We only had rain one night.

This year we are trying Sept. 23-29 and hoping for a break in the humidity.:)

We have been in Sept twice and have found that the weather is still quite hot, but the crowds are smaller so we never got that hot & crowded feeling. It was no problem to pop in somewhere with AC when we needed a break. There was usually a shower in the afternoon or evening so have a small umbrella handy. Never lasted very long though. We'll be there again this year 9-6 thru 9-13

We were in WDW the last week of Sept last year with free dining. It was hot and humid and much more crowded than I thought it would be during the beginning of the school year. We are going in 3 weeks from today and again the week starting Sept 27. Hope the week in Sept is a little less hot this time!!

We were at WDW Sept 10-15 last year. It was very hot and humid. It rained a little almost everyday that we were there but it didn't interfere with our park touring. Two evenings it did rain hard while we were eating dinner but by the time we finished eating the rain had stopped.

Yup, it's REALLY hot in Sept. AK seems to be the hottest/most humid (must be all the plants or somethings). You will not need sweatshirts/long pants at all...it doesn't cool off that much in the evenings.

I am glad I saw this! I was wondering the same thing. I am from Houston though, so I am used to the heat and humidity.

We've gone the last 2 years during the last week of September and we thought it was fine;). The temperature was mid-upper 80s....great for swimming. It did get a little warm walking the parks, but not so much that you couldn't enjoy yourself. Alot of people say it's very hot and humid through September, but we didn't think it was bad at all :)

We are planning a trip in early October and it sounds like it will just be perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, just right!
:cool1:

My wife and I have been to WDW before, but this will be the fist time with the 3 kids! They are going to love it.

We were there during the same time last yr too and yes ma'am it was scorching. The rain didn't help either.

OP I find that the mornings in the park are tolerable but just take a mid day rest and you can deal with the heat!
Also be sure to stay hydrated!!!

I'm hoping the weather isn't too hot - I just found out today that I'm pregnant and when we go in September I'll be about 23 weeks!!!

We were there in 2006 and it was warm and somewhat humid but not unbearable as to the time we were there in May.

We are going back in Oct for the NSSHP.

In my experience, September is very hot and humid. We went September 29 through October 7 last year, and it was in the upper 80s to low 90s every day, and very humid. It also rained nearly every day (sometimes for only a few minutes a day, sometimes on and off throughout the day).

I think people think, "It's not summer since it's September" and expect it to be cooler than it is. But September and October can be surprisingly hot.

:rotfl: :rotfl: OMG!! I thought the same thing. That was so funny!!!

We went in 06 and I thought my DD5 was gonna have a heat stroke, no kidding. I was really worried. We are not used to that kind of hot. But, guess what we are going again in Sept, we must be nuts.:lmao:

We went this past July and September and both months were exactly the same HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! 94 degrees everyday with storms everyday. It was actually too hot!

We were there last year Sept 8-15. It was HOT!! 90's It also rained a lot but only in spurts. It rained for a few hours(NOT 15 minutes) and then the sun would come out.

We are going in December this year. I have a heart condition so I think going during this time of year when it is not SOO HOT and humid is the way to go!! And we get to experience WDW at Christmastime!!!:goodvibes IMO

september has always been (for us) hot, humid, rainy, love-buggy and oppressive from the heat
