Ok, moved my trip forward to last week sept/1st week oct. What's the weather like?? Travelling solo and want to only pack a carry on. Is it still shorts/t-shirt weather??

And what about rain?

I can't remember from one holiday to the next ..my brain also cannot fathom that though it is 15 degrees here it can be much hotter elsewhere :rotfl: colder, yes. Hotter no way!

Hi,

You are always going to get the afternoon-storms even in late September, normally they do not last too long.

Definitely still t shirts/shorts weather yes, it will still be fairly hot but not as humid as July & August will be. I would reckon low to mid 80s most days.
A very good time to go I think.

We were there the last two weeks of September last year. We had about 1 hour of rain the whole 17 days, and it was HOT(well over 90F) and humid, though slightly less humid than August. It was a perfect time we thought. The parks were still open late - MK until at least 9 or 10pm.

Lovely time of year to go although there's always a chance you'll get some afternoon rain or storms. Helps to clear the air though and can be quite refreshing to be out in it sometimes.

They have shops at Disney. Take light clothes for the day, a sweater for evenings. Buy a Mickey raincape if you need to. Buy anything else you need.

we will be out the exact same fortnight as u jjpenguin so heres hoping for some good sunny weather :Pinkbounc (although huby has said it would be cool to see a hurricaine :scared1:

We have always been in September, usually the second and third week, and have been very lucky, but have only had 1 day lost to heavy thunderstorms and had 1 other day of bad rain. All the other times it's been very warm and dry.

Thanks everyone, as I said, I can't remember from one trip to the other...

So it's 3 shorts, 3 t-shirts and a poncho then. Travel light!! even if it is only on the way there ;)

Hiya
Im gonna be there the same time as you!!
Last year I went the first week in Oct, and the weather was poor, rained the whole week!! My parents went the year before a this time and had 2 weeks of sunshine, and same the year before as well. Last year I thought was a bit unusual in terms of weather, it seems to be back to the good old reliable Florida sunshine this year so far though. Fingers crossed eh!! :cool1:
