I always visit in may and september, but this year we are going October 8-15 and i'm wondering what the weather is like, my daughter loves to swim and I'm hoping its still warm enough.

I have gone a couple of times in October and you absolutely can swim! The weather we had was pretty similar to our September trips. Some afternoon rain and still pretty warm.

I'm sure that many people will remember last October when the temperatures were in the 90's. I'm not sure how many people will remember other Octobers where temperatures were in the 70's.

For the OP, no way for any of us to give you good advice on this other than to suggest you go to www.weather.com, enter Walt Disney World for the location and then look at the averages for the dates in October you are planning on going.

We went have mostly gone in October, 5 times over the course of the past 20 years. Of those 5 trips we had 2 days of stifling heat, one day with an hours worth of light rain, and every other day for 5 trips was amazing. Gorgeous weather, no rain, warm enough to swim but also beautiful for park touring. Huge fan of October! We always went around the 18th (our anniversary). Doesn't mean every October is like that or it's a guarantee, but if I could we would always go then.

Unfortunately since the kids are getting older and we won't take them out of school we can't do October any more. In fact we haven't been as a family in 8 years or so because I've dreaded the crowds of vacation weeks and the added heat/rain of summer. I've finally given in and we are going next month and I am slightly terrified of the heat. Lol

October is a transitional month, it's usually summertime hot and humid at the beginning of the month and cooler and less humid, more fall-like, by the end. Since you're going in the middle of the month, it could go either way.

But it will definitely, absolutely be warm enough to swim. The only time I remember it being too cold to swim on any of my trips was at the end of January.

Def warm enough to swim

Remember though Sept and Oct are big Hurricane months for FL.

We have gone for Food & Wine almost all years throughout October dates, (even 1st week of Nov), and swim for sure. For those very hot and sticky days pools are wonderful to cool off and so refreshing.

We done October twice. Early October in 2016 with very warm temps and Hurricane Matthew. Did mid October in 2013 and had perfect weather. Definitely warm enough to swim even at night.
