Hi everyone! WDW vet here wondering what the weather is like in DL in November? We have never been to DL, or either park at Christmas time, and are trying to decide between WDW and DL. Can anyone help me on this? Is it nice and warm in November? Or would we need jackets? Also, are the parks busy the week before Thanksgiving?:confused3 I know nothing about California, but have been to WDW many times! I really would love to visit DL, but my adult kids still want to go to WDW again! Any advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:)

I've moved this to the DL boards since it's not related to DCL planning.

My family and I go end of nov/ beginning of dec.

In 2010, it was chilly but nice. Never went out in shorts (some people were walking around in them-- maybe used to the cool air) always jeans but during the days i was able to wear a tank top comfortably. Night was different I was bundled up, long sleeve, thick jacket, jeans, boots.

2011 was colder. During the day i always kept my jacket on (it was a lighter jacket not a thick one) and always wore jeans. Same for the night as 2010.

BTW, i come from hawaii so cold weather and I dont get along! If the sun is out the chilly air feels nice enough to take off your jacket.

We were the the week after Thanksgiving in 2011 and it was pretty warm to me- mid 90s.
We've been in the past during the same time period and had to wear a sweater.

You could experience almost any kind of weather aside from snow. Maybe higher 70's to mid 80's, cold in the morning and evenings. May or may not rain. I usually start checking weather.com the week prior to a trip to determine what I may expect. I think you'll need to dress in layers for the changing day temps. :)

I am also from Hawaii, but I was raised in California, so I think it all depends on what you're used to weather wise.

When I lived in California, I'd go to DL often, and in the fall and winter season I always wore jeans, a tee, and I brought a jacket. That was enough for me.

Living in Hawaii for a long period of time though, I found that when visiting DL in the fall and winter months, I usually wear a tee, jeans, and a light jacket during the day; and at night I'm in jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a heavy jacket. :lmao:

I live about 30 minutes from DL. Our weather in November can be in the 80's or it can be cold and rainy. Or anything in between. If it is cold, it is likely to be in the mid-60's during the day and in the mid-50's in the evening.

We've done DL the week before Thanksgiving and it is crowded but managable if you plan accordingly. We use the Unofficial Guides' touring plans for both WDW & DL with great success. All the holiday decorations are usually up so it definitely will get you in the holiday spirit!

I hear Cars Land is fabulous but we haven't been yet.

We went mid November last year and it started out cool and rainy (Oregonians and we were wearing long sleeves) but warmed up during the day to where we were in shorts and tanks. At night it was jeans and long sleeves again. Apparently we hit a cool spell though.

I'm going the same time, coming from AZ. So anything will be chilly to me! I'm expecting 70's mid day, chilly morning and night. Layers rule!

Thanks hydroguy! I just checked out that thread earlier today.
