Coming to Disney from the east coast the middle of May. I was wondering what the weather would be so I know what to pack. We'll be visiting Las Vegas first which will probably be Capri weather so that is what I was planning on wearing.

The highs should be in the upper 70s, however temps into the 90s is not unusual. Pack for warm days and cool nights.

Thanks for the chart. I wasn't expecting the lows to be that low. So I will be prepared for cooler nights. Think capris will fit the bill cause at my age no one wants to see me in shorts.:crazy2::rotfl:

Keep in mind, it likely won't hit those lows until the middle of the night.

I spent a week at DL in mid-May 2014. 100+ every day:crazy2:. Anything can happen.

Last year we were there the last week of April and weather was in the 90's! Hot all day and night long. So its best to be prepared for any kind of weather.

I was there last year for the 24hr party, May 22nd, and the high was only in the high 60s, so really, anything is possible!

We've visited the parks many times during the first or second week of May and the weather was fantastic. There will always be exceptions (it's S. Ca after all) but on the average, May is s great time to go.

I'll be there 1st week of May this year, t-shirt and shorts during the day and jeans and a t-shirt at night ok? Or should I pack a hoody I can throw on for the fireworks and late shows?

Yes, I would bring the jeans and hoody for the nights but as Clara pointed out, the coldest temps of the day aren't until the early morning so it wont be bad. A lot depends on how easily you get cool but that's a very mild time of year.
You've picked a fabulous time to go, your going to have a wonderful trip!!

It's all relative. When we went in February last year, I have a photo of my family - shorts/t-shirts (toddler had been changed into jeans in evenings.) And in the background there are people in winter clothes - jackets and hats. Temps were in the 60's, I think.

Usually May is quite warm in Anaheim, especially during the day. Plus the humidity can start in May. However, spring this year has been exceptionally cool, cooler than winter overall. We were there last week and it was cool even during the day with the sun out (and windy). The evenings were actually cold. It was colder than when we were there in January and November. That being said, it will be unpredictable so plan to check the weather a week out and finalize your packing from there. You're going to be safe with capris and tees, but you'll definitely want sweatshirts/a light jacket for evenings and a pair of jeans.

P.S. You can definitely spot the SoCal locals at Disneyland when it's cooler than usual - they'll be the ones in hats, scarves, jackets and uggs when the high is only 60. LOL ;)

We are from Dallas, so we know heat! We were there in mid-May two years ago, and while I was sort of ok in capris and short sleeves in the day, I was in a fleece at nights. And in the fleece many days too. It was in the low 70s to high 60s in the day, and that is not terribly warm-feeling to me when I'm used to 105 in the summer. It was very pleasant, but I wished I'd brought more than one fleece (as did everyone in my party!). I have that same fleece on in every photo! :joker:
