We are booked to go on the 7 day western carribean cruise in March of '06, and we want to know what the weather is like then. Such as are there any hurricane risks, is the water choppy, is it smooth sailing, what are the chances of rain while at the destinations?

Hurricane season is late May - November (per the Passporter's DCL guide). You should be fine in March.

We cruised a 4 night cruise on the Wonder to the Bahamas in 2001. The weather was wonderful! Again, the Passporter says the weather ranges from the 60s to the 80s. At night it was chilly enough to wear a sweatshirt with shorts. Very comfortable. I don't get carsick or sick in canoes/boats, but I did feel a little queasy the first night. The servers said a lot of people feel queasy crossing the Gulf Stream. It lasted only a few hours, and I was still able to eat.

Our snorkeling excursion was cancelled in Freeport due to murky waters that would have made it difficult to see anything. The weather was not muggy but just warm and lovely. Sunny every day, I don't remember any rain. It was great. If the March-May rates were as cheap as the hurricane season rates, we'd definitely try a 7 nighter that time of year.

HTH.

We cruised in March 2003, and had Picture Perfect weather...Never saw a drop of rain after we boarded, and calm picturesque seas....

CC was also perfect..Warm enough to swim, and enjoy everything....

February, that was another story...Cold, rainy..THink we were downright unlucky...
