We are booked for 8/19-8/26. When I called to discuss our room location ith cast member he stated "If I were you I would want to be in the building closest to everything. It rains practically everday in Florida in August..And it really pours" They better get this boy off the phone lines quick!!!!! But with this being said was has peoples experience been with the weather in late august. When we went last May in rained sometims but not usually for very long. Then the sun would come back out again. I don't mind bringing my rain poncho to the parks but will mind days of downpouring rain. I know you can't predict the weather but has anyone gone during this time of year.

My experience from the couple of times that we've been to WDW in August is that it can rain almost every day, and sometimes really, really hard. But it's not an all-day thing. It was usually about the same time every afternoon. We could tell it was coming by the clouds and it never took us by surprise. It would last for, maybe, half an hour. If it got too bad or we had to go from place to place we just put our ponchos on and continued on.

That being said, there was one trip we took that we had our ponchos in our packs for the whole week and used them only once.

That's a great time to be in the parks, attendance is much lighter than the rest of the summer and we hardly had any wait at all for most of the rides.
