Weather in Late April?

Hello,
We always do our Florida vacationing in late September/early October and the weather is just awesome!

It's been years since I've vacationed down there in late April (13 years!)

What's the weather like then in Florida?
What is the weather like out in the ocean?

When it's hot, the less clothes the better, so I'm packing tank tops for our family, which is what I do for our fall vacations and do not regret doing so. Do you think that's safe in April?

Good morning,
Being a native of Florida for the past 70 years - I believe I can add a few words on the weather in Florida - for most part, if you don't like the weather we are having for the moment, don't get discourage for it changes as fast as a person can change their minds -----we have had a very unusual Fall and Winter this past year - we had to deal with 4 hurricanes and a real funny winter - most of the time the hurricanes skirts us and winter just comes and goes with it cold weather - I have gone swimming on Christmas day it was so warm and yet I have bundled up as if I lived in Alaska in March -
We do not have the 4 seasons here - to me we have 12 months of seasons - anytime after March, you can come prepared for either rain or sunshine - the weather for most part is awesome - Northerns have a very hard time with the heat here and I can understand even tho I have never lived in the ice and snow, I can understand how it can be so hot here that its hard to deal with - being surrounded by water, our humitiy is very high and that will get ya. Just prepared for a adventure and you will not be disappointed ok.

We did the land/sea last April 18 - 25 and it was wonderful!!!!! Nice and warm, definately shorts weather. And no humidity. It did get a little cool in the evenings, so maybe pack a sweater or a long sleeved shirt.
