Weather in June

We have never been to Florida before and am hearing from friends that the time we are planning our vacation for (June 8th-14th) is very hot. We've survived Vegas in July with temps of 117-120 degrees. I know it's not comparable with the lack of humidity in Vegas, but hot is hot. How bad is it in the 1st weeks of June??
We don't intend on changing our dates but are wondering what to expect.

It will start to heat up and showers will occur in the afternoon. Expect hghs from 80-90 degrees.

June is usually hot, then July heats up, and August is an inferno!

Barry is right, Summer it usually rains every afternoon. So bring ponchos, if it's a drought season again it will be really hot outside.

Expect daily thunderstorms anywhere from 3-5pm. When in IOA during a t-storm, expect nearly all the rides to shut down. Sometimes the weather can be bad for hours, sometimes just minutes. You never know.

That's a good point I missed that, if there is Lightning they will shut almost every ride at IOA down. They did offer free passes this summer good after 4pm part of their "Rain Affect Your Day" Program that was put in place on 7-13-02. So if that happens go to guest services and ask them if that is still offered.
