Can someone give me an idea of the average weather temp in late December is(around Christmas). Trying to figure out what clothes the kids will need. We are in Northern Illinois, so we are only used to snow and freezing cold :teeth:
Thanks in advance!

According to the chart I saw, http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/weather.htm (look under Orlando yearly weather patterns) it said the average temp in December was around 63f. I've been there in January where one day we would sit out by the pool in our bathing suits :sunny: and the next day we would have our woolies on :cold: , so in other words, the weather is unpredictable. :confused3

Pack a little of everything and prepare to layer. Jeans and t-shirts for the days, long sleeve shirts, heavy coats and gloves at night!

It can get very chilly in the evening after the sun goes down, ESPECIALLY at Epcot to watch Illuminations!

We usually start the day in jeans, tshirts, and sweatshirts. Get rid of the sweatshirts after the sun really heats up the day. By late afternoon sweatshirt is back on. By evening we usually add another layer(fleece jacket, heavier coat) and gloves. Don't forget socks and shoes...no sandles at night!~ Nothing worse then cold feet ! And this is from someone that lives in flipflops all year!

Some days MAY be warm enough for shorts but jeans are usually ok. And don't forget something to wear from the pool to your room if you plan to swim!

Love DW in dec! Usually go the beginning of dec, and he weather for us is usually balmy, shorts and tees during the day, sweaters at night. Pack for summer and fall like weather. :wave2:

It can range from 60-70's or be as cold as 30-40's ! My friend went a couple years ago. She called me one night while she was in the MK (she was picking up some souveniers for me) and she told me everyone was wearing hats/winter coats/jackets/gloves. She said she was freezing and felt like she was in PA !
I've been to WDW during the first 2 weeks of Dec and it can be similar during that time frame. Several years ago, we lucked out with the Dec 1-12. Great weather. Never fell out of the upper 70's to mid 80's during the day and only low 60's at night. The day we were leaving (Dec12), a cold front rolled in. Heard the highs dropped to 50's for that next week (this would have been Dec 12 on).
Same goes for Jan/Feb. Hopefully you'll get some warm days while you're there but I'd pack for everything as some already mentioned. Have a great trip !

Thanks soo much to everyone! Even the 60's will be a nice change (and warm) for us :sunny: We have always went in the summer and thought this would be a nice change.
Looks like a bit of everything will be good then!

Pack for both and have a great vacation. :Pinkbounc
