I sailed Dec. 1-7 last year. Not mid-December, but close enough. The weather was great. On St. Maarten, the ocean was so warm I got tired before I got cold. The weather was mostly in the low to mid-eighties, and humid. We had a torrential downpour on Castaway Cay in late afternoon, "forcing" us to seek cover at the bar, drinking Konk Koolers.

We did the Eastern 7-day last December 8 and the weather was very good overall. We sailed through a driving rain on our shore excursion from St. Thomas to St. John, but we had a great day on Castaway Cay. The year previously in December we got the nasty weather on CC that Senor Ferrari talks about...it can be cool then, but for the most part it's a great time to sail.
