Hi!
We are visiting WDW for 2 weeks from 5 December. We are sooooooooo excited!!

We have booked our room using annual passholder discount (40% off!!!) . We are buying annual passes as we are returning next May. I have heard we can buy the passes at Orlando airport because we need them for check in at the Beach Club. Any idea where we buy them at MCO?

Also will it be warm enough to swim at all in December? We went before in December and I remember it being really cold- not sure if that is the norm.

Thanks!

I am not 100% sure but I think the only place you can buy an Annual Pass is at Disney. I think you have to buy them at one of the parks not even the Disney hotels sell them. As for the weather - well, I live a couple hours south of Disney and its usually low 70's/high 60's during the day. But last year I went to Disney for MVMCP and it was FREEZING! My kids had on jeans, turtle necks, sweaters, coats and a blanket and it was still cold. There were people still swimming though. Steam was coming off the pools of the GF. It can really be either way during the day - but its cold in the mornings. Of coarse, I'm a Floridian so I might be a little wimpy - you get used to those 90 degree days!

I believe that your annual passes have to be purchased at the will call or guest services window. We were not able to purchase ours at the normal ticket window (but maybe this is because we upgraded hoppers).

Disnee Dad Says............................................ I think we got our AP's at Downtown Disney. Just go to any park on your first day and get them. As in when you arrive, not your first day in the parks.
You should find some swimming time, as cold as it can get, you should still run into some 70's at least a couple times as a worst case scenerio.
Have a great trip.

YES! You can buy your AP's at MCO. In the Disney store there. You must have walked by it a million times!! It's in the lobby of the Hyatt.

The APs bought there will also be activated which saves you time at WDW!!

December's weather is very variable. We've gone then 2 times now and the first time it was FREEZING...40's Then the following year it was in the 80's. The pools are heated so bring your bathing suits and hope for the best!

Have fun!

Just to confirm beattyfamily, you can get APs at the Disney Store (Mickey's Earport or something like that) in the Orlando airport. It's before you go to the baggage claim area, so before you get on the little monorail. We got ours there last December.

Yes, you can. They give you a voucher, which is now a little plastic card and when you get to WDW, go to a ticket booth and exchange your voucher for your real AP.

But that makes almost no sense........don't you need your AP at checkin to get the discount? Which means one needs to find a ticket booth prior to check in. Not being a smart alec.......just trying to confirm as we are debating getting the AP for a 14 day trip in Dec. '04.

Yes, you need an AP at checkin if you are using the AP discount. I've heard, though, that it doesn't have to activated at the moment you checkin. You can show it to them the next day or whenever after you've activated it.

You can buy APs at all Disney Stores and at WDW. The ones at WDW and the Disney Store at the AIRPORT are already activated. The ones at the regular Disney Stores are NOT activated.
