Weather in August

I am seriously considering another trip for next August but I'm hearing very negative comments about the weather.
I need to have this 2 wk trip within the school holidays, which next year are 21st July til 6th Sept. I hear it's been rainging a lot this August, would that put you off?
I have 4 children and I have a term-time only job so my only option is between these dates. I cannot afford to go as early as Easter and December doesn't appeal as it would be cooler.
What do you think?

All I can offer is that we went Sept 9 2001 and it rained alot and it was very muggy. If you deal well with heat and honestly it seems like your only option then go. I myself don't do well with the heat so we are only going to go when it is cool from now on. This time we go in Dec and I am taking my oldest out of school for a week. Sorry that I cannot be more helpful. I do have to say though that the rain is not that big a deal, it is usally over in minutes and there are plenty of indoor rides, and when you do get wet ( we got SOAKED LOL one day) you dry off very quickly! good luck!

We went last August 3rd to 17th. It rained most days, late on in the afternoon. It doesn't usually last very long and we just went on an indoor ride or into one of the shops. It only rained one day long enough for us to decide to leave the park. That was at Epcot and it had rained most of the day on and off. Then it started to rain really hard. It must have been because of so much rain that we could only remember which part of the carpark we were in, but not which row. That was my DH excuse anyway. We were soaked and running up and down the rows of cars which all seemed to look the same trying to find our rental car.
Couldn't have been too bad we are going back next August.
