We just got home from our trip last night, but are thinking ahead to our next trip.

DH decided this trip that he really wants to stay at GCH next trip. We were at DLH this trip. It will cost us about $1100 more to stay at the GCH.

Our 10 year anniversary is in August 2016. So I thought it would be perfect, we can splurge for our 10 year! But DH is concerned about the heat. Is the weather horrid in August, normally? We'd be going the first or second week.

It will be very hot that time of year. Avg. temps in early Aug are 88~89 degrees but can easily hit the low hundreds.
Too hot for me!

Another thing to consider when deciding to stay on or off site is the free breakfasts hotels out side od DLR provide. That can add up quickly.

It frequently tops 100 for part of the day in August. This past summer was much more humid than usually. Not Florida humid, but not enjoyable for those of us who live here and aren't used to it. Of course, it can vary a lot, so you might get lucky and pick a week that isn't as extreme. Keep in mind that Anaheim is inland and milder weather can be had nearby, if you want to compromise and do a partial Disney, partial beach trip, for example.

Use the GCH to your advantage and August can work out great.

It's hot, but not too humid. It really depends on how you handle heat. The Grand has a pretty awesome pool to cool off on though!

Africa hot!! The last time I was that hot was when Davy Jones was cuddling with me in the crew quarters of the Pearl while we sailed through the equator on our way to Tortuga.

But it sure makes the water rides that much more refreshing.
