Wondering what is the weather like in April for our first ever cruise. Thanks for your information.

Last year we were on the Magic 4/26 - 5/3. The weather was great! The water in Grand Cayman was wonderful. Enjoy your April vacation.

We cruised a few years ago on the Magic in April and liked it so much that we have included an April cruise for this year.

If you are sailing on the Magic on 4/17, please join us at our thread! And if not, well, then calm seas, blue skies and lots of wonderful memories to you anyway!

Tinarena-when are you cruising? We are on the Wonder April 18-22, 2004. (our first cruise also)

When you have your dates of travel, add your name to the "Book your cruise? See who's sailing" thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=326949

We are on the April 1st to 4th cruise.
My 2 children DD age 17, DS age 10 and Me the Mom! We are looking forward to it.
Thank you for the information.

Rae~ Is the 4/17 an Eastern or Western? 4/17 is my DD's 13th Bday & we were thinking about booking since she has that week off from school. We were thinking about RCCL's Mariner of the Seas, but we "know" DCL after 3 cruises, so there's something to be said for that...

We were on the Magic in 2002 for that week & it was truly wonderful. Perfect temps, lots of sun, blue skies & water.

There was some sea lice problems at CC on that cruise- seemed to be mostly in the snorkeling area, but that's the time of year for them. Many people had the rash coming back from CC to the ship. Bring Seasafe with you & you'll be fine. We had no problems. They sell it on eBay, or www.lifestylesdirect.com. Ron Jon's did not have it when we stopped in before our 11/8/03 cruise. If you don't know what sea lice are, see the thread in the helpful info section at the top of the board- very complete info...

Arghhhhh! The dreaded sea lice!

Should we expect the sea lice in the carribean also???

There didn't seem to be any problems in St. Maarten at Orient Beach, or St. Thomas at Maegen's Bay during our April cruise- just at CC.

It is considerably warmer down there so maybe that's why they didn't have the problem.
