So my guess came true. We are set to get married Saturday October 1st and 9:00am Luau Beach. I have been stalking the extended forcast and the chance of strong thunderstorms have just gone up and up.

Earlier this week 10%, this morning 20% now its up to 60% chance of rain. Can someone tell me where the backup location is for a memories collection wedding at Luau Beach. I really hope were not stuck in an ugly room, with no decorations/flowers. What can we do?

Unless you see green coming toward you on the radar the day of, or there's a hurricane hurdling toward you, you're wasting energy stressing over the weather forecast, which is often wrong- especially this far in advance of y(our) wedding(s).

No matter what the news forcast has ever said we very rarely have morning showers. I think the earliest we've had a shower lately is 11:30ish so you should be fine. in Fl its pretty much always an afternoon shower. Don't stress because sometimes they'll say its 80% chance and it doesn't happen. Orlando is so odd with showers. Almost daily it'll rain either in front of my house or behind, but not the other.

At some point in the day, it probably will rain. But usually later in the day as another poster responded. Do they not tell people what/where the rain option is? :scared1: surely it's a certain spot? At least to know the plan b would help me feel better.

I think they don't determine the backup locations until closer to time, so that they have all events lined up and figured. But I would think they've figured that out by now. I haven't asked on my own behalf. Which I'll do right now. :)

I second this, exactly. If it does rain, it is 99% more likely it will happen in the afternoon, not the morning. It neeever rains in the morning.

I also had my wedding at 9 on Luau beach! It was suppose to rain everyday of the week that we stayed but it never did in the mornings (and on most days it never even rained). If it did, it always started in the afternoon. I asked about where the ceremony would be moved if it rained, and they said most likely it would be held somewhere in the Polynesian.

I am sure your wedding day will be lovely and beautiful :)
