Hi folks

We visited WDW at the very end of August last year and totally underestimated the humidity, being from the UK it was an absolute killer!

We're coming again this year for the W&D Half Marathon weekend (10 days between the end of Oct and start of Nov), what can we expect the weather to be like? Will we require sunscreen? And will the humidity be any more bearable? Obviously weather differs yearly but I'm just after a general impression.

Looking at weather websites it says precipitation of much lower during this period that the Summer too...?

Thanks guys

As a local (80 miles due west of WDW) I answer these posts more than any other. :-)
End of Oct is still warm. Like most people other than FL people still swim. Yes you NEED sunscreen. You really need it all year here. Even in January.
Typically the end of Oct into Nov is less humid but I can tell you that there have been many Halloween's here that I've had my AC in the house. Temps are typically in the 80's during the day and 60's at night. That doesn't mean it can't be a bit cooler or a bit warmer but that's about the average.
F&W festival is really at it's peak time so expect crowds in Epcot. Early Nov is slightly less crowded however (minus marathon days) due to US folks waiting until Thanksgiving week to go as kids are off from school.

It won't be as rainy at this time but yes it's still humid. It's pretty much always humid all year but just less humid in the winter months. You will have to have sunscreen, always!!! And as for warmth, it will be hot to you coming from the UK.

I think Barbydoll8 gave you the local perspective. What I suggest is to check out one of the weather sites that will provide daily average as well as record high and low temperatures. For instance according to the weather channel for WDW for Nov 1st the average H/L is a comfortable 81F/61F with a record high of 90F. But they list the record low for that day at a chilly (for Florida) 35F.

It will not be like August. Temperatures and dew points will be lower. Though the dew point will probably be higher than you are used to. I looked up last year on Nov 1st and the dew point was 64F with a high temp of 84F. Warm but definitely not August.

Wishing you a magical visit!
