Weather first two weeks of Jan

Hi all, what is the weather like at the world during the first few weeks of Jan. Been at Christmas before and it was good by our standards BUT went in Feb and it was too cold to swim. Comments?

We went in Jan 2007 in the 3rd week and it was too cold to swim on most days. A couple of days it got up to 80 degrees, but the rest of the time it was in the 60's for a high and into the 30's at night.

I went the first week of Jan 07 and it was in the 60's most of the time. The last day we were there it got up to the low 70's and my daughter conned me into getting into the pool. We didn't stay in too long We needed a jacket every day, but I'd rather have that then the hot summer months!

My husband is a runner, so we've been in Jan a few times for the marathon. It's been in the 80's so that a day at Blizzard Beach was wonderful and it's been near to freezing. It will just depend.
