Taking the Wonder on Jan. 9 for 3 nts. and 6 days of "The Magic" land and just "Wonder" ing what the weather will be like in Florida, Nassau & Castaway Cay at that time?

January weather can be "iffy"..we froze on most of our Jan. cruise but the folks who sailed before and after us had beautiful sunny weather in the high 70's. The cold rain in Nassau was so bad the streets were flooded and we had to walk in water over our shoe tops to get back to the Wonder. Waves were too high to dock at CC so we reversed our schedule and did CC the day before we returned. The weather was great!...what a difference 24 hours made. Despite all our weather woes, we had a ball and have just booked our 3rd DCL vacation. I think if they have a cold spell it doesn't seem to last. Have a great time on your trip.

We were in Nassau in January in '00 and the weather was cool but not cold. It was too cold to swim in the ocean and the pools were empty, but for shopping and sightseeing it was wonderful. We just wore a light jacket and were fine.

I have gone twice before in January and never had a problem swimming, but then I am from the middle of January, and for that time of the year it is a heat wave!!!

We went in January of this year (MLK week) on the 7 night Eastern Cruise. The water was noticably warmer on St Maarten and on St. Thomas than at Castaway Cay. It only took a couple of minutes to get used to the water temp and we were in it for four hours. There again, I'm from the north and anything over 45 that time of the year is warm (and it was dry too - except for the ocean that is)
