Hi Everyone,
I have been checking accuweather like a crazy person. I am little concerned about the weather. Weather.com says it will be warmer and only a 60% chance compared to colder and rainy weather all day. It says it will turn cold (the 60's) and rain for one day and then stay in the 60's for 2-3 days. First off how accurate is accuweather this far out? What do we do if it rains all day? We live in Dallas and weather changes on the dot but I just dont know about Orlando. We were really hoping for good weather. Everyone always tells me this is not the rainy season and usually in the upper 70's- to low 80's. We are so excited about this trip. It is our first with our two boys (3 1/2 and 20 months), we just want good weather!
Thanks for all the help!
Sharron

I'm leaving the 2 too. I have been checking the two sites as well. The yare so different. It's hard to beleive they are talking about the same place. Last year we went the same time. I can't remember which was more accurate, but I do know that the one that was changed several times till we left. I think it started out saying one thing, changed to many other things and then went back to almost the origional forecast from 10 -15 days before. We did have a bit of cooler weather last year, but it was better than Oh. I sure hope the rain doesn't happen, or does just a quick shower.

We've gone this time of year lots of times...the last four years in fact. Not going til the end of April this year though. We've always had pretty decent weather...one year it was pretty rainy and had to skip the parks one day that we had planned. (We don't go every day...we take it really slowly).

As for every other day, the rain was never bad enough to stop us. And the other years, rain wasn't an issue really. One of the years, the weather was absolute perfection. Couldn't have asked for better, although we are from Chicago, so our standards are a little lower at the end of winter! :)

You will probably need layers at this time of year though. Some days we didn't make it out of our sweatshirts and jeans, while other days we were lounging around the pool in our suits! It's a great time to go overall...before the big spring break rush and when the weather is feeling like vacation weather! Have fun, and don't worry too much!

Unfortunately, this time of year in central FL, the weather is a little sketchy, to say the least. Today, it was warm and sunny, Saturday, it poured like there was no tomorrow! A couple of days ago, I needed a sweatshirt to stay warm, today I was comfy in my t-shirt.

At this time of year, I wouldn't worry too much about rain, because quite frankly, there's nothing that you can do about it. Typically, at this time of year, if it does rain, it will rain on/off all day usually (not like our quick, summer showers), but it won't ruin your day. And, definitely pack/dress in layers, because the mornings & evenings might be a bit chilly, but if you're in the sun on a nice day, it'll get warm.

I would say that our normal temps lately have been more like the upper 60s/low 70s during the day, with a few days higher and a few days lower over the past couple of weeks.

I hope that helps, and remember, just go and have fun, because you're at the Happiest Place on Earth!!! :thumbsup2

Don't panic until the dates get closer.

We went last January - cold and rain were listed for every day of our 5 day trip. We had 3 beautiful days (sunny and highs in low 70's) and 2 cold and rainy days. So, it turned out better than predicted. Those forecasts can change.

Thanks everyone for all of your advice. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do on rainy days with two toddlers! I am hoping we have only a chance for a shower. I am not to worry about temps in the 60's it is still better than the 50's we have here in Dallas right now. But we are just trying to keep with our plans but we will have to see.
Thanks Again,
Sharron

Just like everywhere...they can't accurately predict a forecast that far out. Plan accordingly and make sure that have ponchos, sweatshirts, and jeans packed just in case.
