Weather/Clothing

Will be arriving on Friday, YAY! but unsure about packing the right clothes. We're from NY and it's still pretty chilly here so I'm not sure how to pack. I've seen that the weather is 50 low/80 high in Orlando. Should I pack jackets or will shorts/sweaters be oK? Thanks so much for your help!

Hi!

We live two hours west of Orlando and experience pretty much the same weather, except for the location of isolated thunderstorms. Right now the weather is sunny and warm. Stores all have their air conditioners running. No one is wearing a jacket. Now, in the evening, I might put on a sweatshirt, but that's me. When we first moved here from New York we laughed at how Floridians wore coats in weather that we thought was balmy. Now, we are the ones wearing coats when the temps dip to the 60's! hahahaha

I recommend that you bring a sweatshirt for everyone or a very light jacket. Odds are you won't ever wear them. This weekend they forecast a 30% chance of "isolated thunderstorms", so that means you may see some rain, you may not. I hope we don't see rain -- we will be at the Swan starting Saturday!

I would say definately pack lots of shorts, but also throw in a pair of pants and a light jacket just in case you have a cool morning/evening. Have fun!!
