I just wanted to offer up this tip for those of you visiting DW in the spring / summer season: be aware of the weather around you! I've lived in FL for 15 years and it still catches me off guard sometimes.
When you see a thunderstorm roll in remember that it usually only lasts for 15 - 30 minutes and they usually produce a ton of cloud to ground lightening. Hail can creep up pretty quickly too even before the storm actually arrives with rain. It's definitely worth it to go indoors until it passes, especially if you have little ones.
Yesterday we got caught in a hail storm in our car and we now have the dents to prove it
I'm sure everyone on here probably already knows to be on the cautious side and stay indoors during these sometimes daily occurrences, but just in case someone is new to the FL weather scene I thought I should put it out there.
