DH and myself, along my my in-laws have a trip planned for this September - we have always gone in May so we are concerned about the weather. We want to enjoy the parks and have a feeling (after reading some historical weather information) that it may rain quite often. Is there anyone who can tell us what the weather has been like? We are going 9/18-9/28 - thanks so much:)

We were there the last week of September and the first week of October last year. Although it did rain sporadically the first few days, it wasn't enough to put a damper on our trip. We took our ponchos with us, and just wore them whenever necessary. Since there was no lightning or cold breezes, it really wasn't all that bad. For the most part, the days were humid and very warm. Hope you have a wonderful trip. :sunny:

Other than it being HOT - it didn't rain very much at all.

We went the 2nd week in September, and I was surprised by how little rain we encountered. When we arrived, there was a tropical depression just making its way out of Orlando, so other than that, just little showers in the afternoon that we missed as we were in an attraction.

Go prepared for rain, but don't be surprised if you see alot of sun on your trip!!! :sunny:

You never can tell. Just pack some ponchos.

It is PEAK hurricane season which doesn't necessarily mean there will be hurricanes but there is lots of tropical weather during the month of Sept. so it can mean lingering rainy systems.

Sometimes they create off/on rain, other times it can rain for several days. Otherwise it's still usually very HOT and humid. You won't know until you're there.

We've been there in rainy Septembers and we've lucked out sometimes with little rain and surprisingly comfortable temps (which ironically was due to a huge hurricane out in the Atlantic traveling parallel to the coast but still far out at sea). It seemed to create a nice breeze and sucked out some of the humidity! SO you never know!

The nice thing is that this is a very slow time of the year.

Thanks so much - we went ahead and booked w/o doing the necessary planning so we are all set with airfare and ressies so don't want to change anything. We were just shocked when we saw that Sept. was hurrican season and produces more rain than any other month. But we will bring our ponchos and just go with the flow or so to speak - thanks:)

We went Sept 23rd to the 28th last year and it rained everyday but in Didsney it rains for like 5 minutes and clears up and sunny 10 minutes later. Just bring ponchosit will be fine. We will be there this year Sept 19th to the 26th

We've been going down most September's since 1975. Never had a problem with hurricanes (except when one hit here in Pa.!!) and the relatively little rain we've seen in WDW has almost always been the thunderstorm kind of thing.
I asked Mrs Uncleromulus to think about it and we agreed that maybe 3-4 days TOTAL in all those trips was a whole day actually "rained-out". And we went to the parks anyway!!
