Hello,

Leaving in a few days and want to dress warmly enough without overdoing it. How has the weather been lately?

Thanks
Connie:wave2:

Hi! Just got home Sunday night. The weather was wonderful. I wore shorts and short sleeves during the day. It got pretty cool on Saturday night, and had to wear a sweatshirt under a jacket to watch Fantasmic. Sunday during the day it was a tad cool, but definately not cold.

Average daytime - mid 70's.

Just to give you an idea - here is the 5 day forecast:

5-Day Forecast
Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat

75°F 77°F 65°F 69°F 73°F
50°F 57°F 55°F 42°F 47°F

Still, bring a jacket to stay warm.

While a five day forecast works up north, a two day FL is a guess at best. Forecasts are changed during the day.
Think layers when packing. Day time temps are pleasant, but cool down fast after the sun sets.
Rule of thumb for this time of year is 40-70

I'm at WDW right now, arrived last Saturday. I was so glad I had my winter coat last Saturday night, it was down into the 40's and very cold for Wishes at 10:00pm. Each day has gotten warmer, today was pretty good, into the 70's. I wore a short sleeve shirt today and light pants. Tonight at MVMCP I wore a sweatshirt and a light jacket and was comfortable. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and then get cooler on Thursday (60's). I would bring a variety.

My father-in-law..who lives on the space coast..just called begging me to send him some winter gloves....so it's cold for him.

I see you are from WI. I am a WI person who has to be living here in southern MN for the last 6 years. (Hope to be moving "HOME"within the year!!!) Anyway, we were there Wednesday through Sunday last week. The first 3 days were REALLY nice, we even went swimming once. Saturday was colder, but we were fine in a t-shirt with sweatshirt. We werent' out late that night, so I don't know how it was at 10:00. We had our heat on lightly at night and air conditioner during the day. :) We had brought our "light" winter jackets with us (just in case), but never used them. We did fine bringing a t-shirt type thing for the day, a few sweatshirts to put on at night and that light winter jacket "just in case".

Thank you for all the replys, I guess it will be layers for sure.

:hyper:
so close so close so close... better be warm better be warm better be warm...

i have spent the last months at the gym to make sure i didnt make a fool of myslef at the pool darn it and im going swimming!!

We were at Epcot Friday night, and with the breeze off the water I was glad I had my jacket and hood! Saturday I wore a turtle neck, sweatshirt and spring jacket all day, although it was warmer at the MK than Epcot (not as windy). I am a wimp when it comes to the cold though.... my husband wore a long sleeve shirt and sweatshirt all day Saturday (he is not sensitive to cold at all). On the bright side...it was nice and sunny both Saturday and Sunday, while at home it was snowing!

I was at CBR Dec 3-7th. 3-5th it was lower 70s/high 60s (jeans and short-sleeved shirts by day, light jacket by night). 6th and 7th it was mid 50s and we were layered with jackets over sweatshirts and scarves and gloves and we were still freezing! Bring a warm hat, or buy one there.

Can you say brrrrrrrrrr..... Oh my! We were there from 11/28 - 12/8 and it was so cold! I had even watched the forecasts the entire week before. However, I was totally unprepared, and we did NOT have enough warm clothes! Make sure you take mittens, hats and jackets, JIC!!! BTW...the temps may sound good, but the wind chill can really get you!

Here's hoping you have sunny days!! :sunny:

Just wanted to add we were there 11/28 - 12/4. The first night we went swimming! The next morning we were COLD in our t-shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, and rain slickers! Never needed the slickers for rain but they did a great job blocking the wind. So bring everything!

I only packed 2 prs of jeans/2 sweatshirts and I hope I never have to wear those sweatshirts again. LOL!!!

Also definitely bring hats, mittens, gloves. It is COLD when the sun goes down. I'd say a med. weight jacket wouldn't hurt either. Plus bring shorts and bathing suits. The weather our week was different everyday.

But you'll see the :sunny:, hopefully, everyday. Even when it was cold and windy that sunshine sure felt good.

Have a great trip!

Florida Cat - Where do you post daily. I'm not sure where you are refering. Thanks

Leave Tuesday.

Just got back. We were at Epcot last night and it was so cold. We had light winter coats, gloves and were freezing. Whoever makes money on the mickey santa hats is going to be rich! We saw so many people with them on. I think many bought them just to keep warm!

Hi just back. We were there from the 3-11. Watch the forcast every night or am before leaving for the parks. I dressed depending on what the temp. was that am, not based on the high for the day. Many days forcasted temp in the high 60's but when you left for the parks it was only 40-44 degrees. On those days you needed fleece hats or ear warmers, gloves, jeans, sweater, or long sleeved shirts and jackets. We did not take winter coats, but warm turtlenecks and fleece or sweatshirt lined jackets. On Days where the am was in the 60's but high's were expected to reach 70's I would wear t-shirts with a sweat shirt or a light jacket on top, and shorts or capris. I found it helpful to always have my fleece gloves and ear warmer in my jacket or sweatshirt pockets. So, I could always access them. One day I didn't plan accordingly and I had on capri's with a short sleave shirt and a sweat shirt on and it rained. So, if all else fails those plastic poncho's they sell in the parks are actually a good insulator.

I bought mine to be festive but ended up being very happy to have it on keeping my head warm! :)

I'm afraid there's just no way around it - in the winter to need to pack some of everthing the cold fronts come and go and you need to watch the local news every night to see how to dress the next day. No traveling light this time of year!

I agree! Pack a little of everything! You will need hats, gloves, jackets AND bathing suits! Better to be prepared.
