I am trying to convience DH to take a trip to Disney for President's Week 2004. He really wants to wait until November 2004. I can't wait that long!!!! He is afraid the weather will be cold and the crowds heavy. (We were there Nov. 2003 and had no crowds and beautiful weather.) Has anyone run into cold weather in Feb.? Which DVC would be the best to stay at with 3 kids (10,8,4). We just stayed at the BCV in April and loved it but there weren't any kids activities other than the awesome pool. Any suggestions? Still need to convience DH. That shouldn't be too hard.

We were at OKW from 2/22 until 3/11 this year. We arrived a week after President's Week. We were told that it was quit crowded during President's Week. It was busy the first week we were there, but OKW appeared deserted by comparison the following week.

Although we had warm weather...high 60's to mid 80's...while there, it can be hit or miss during that timeframe. We did have a few days of rain during the first week. April weather is much more predictable...usually very nice.

Although we have not paid much attention, they do have kids programs at OKW. Perhaps someone who has experience with them can help you.

President's week is a very busy week!! The weather can be cold that is too cold to sun yourself by the pool, but as a general rule you get some warm days also. If you are used to WDW in November I think you might be unhappy with the conditions President's Week. It is right up there just after Christmas and the 4th as a very busy week. I would stick with BCV is I were you, also get some protection from any winds at the pool there of course you do at WLV also. I went to WDW about 5 President's weeks in a row. My advice would be to find another time. Even the week before it is great, or two weeks before is even better, but then you do have cold weather.

Jan and Feb are great in terms of crowds with the exception of President's week. However the weather can be cold and can keep you from enjoying the pools.

We hate crowds and now, after being there in May during a heat wave (90's), we're sticking to our usual methods. Jan or early Feb knowing we may have to wear jeans, but knowing we won't be doing line marathons.

It all depends on what's most important. BTW, we take our kids out of school which hasn't been a problem so far. They are 10 & 7.

We stayed at the VWL this past presidents week. The crowds were not bad depending on the day. The Sunday of president's day weekend there was a rainstorm and we ventured into the MK. No lines or wait for anything. The weather was ok, we were able to hit Typhoon Lagoon one day and most days had shorts on. Sweatshirts were a must most evenings after the sun went down.

Just to add my two cents - President's Day weekend is terribly crowded - we were there by accident one year (didn't pay attention to the calendar) and we were very disappointed. Also, as others have said, the weather is still iffy - not a problem for us, we always have a good time no matter what the weather. But I wouldn't go on that weekend unless your idea of fun is waiting in lines!!
