Hi! My husband and I are Disneyland veterans and we're taking our first shot at planning a Disney World trip. (I was there as a child but it's so much more elaborate now!). We're coming in from Calgary.

We're going to the Not-so-Scary party on Oct 19th. I'm planning a costume and it's the only time on the trip I won't be able to pick my outfit on the day based on the weather.

What will the weather be like at that time do you think? Long sleeves and pants for the evening? Or will I be too uncomfortable in something hot?

In general, I would love some tips on how to pack for an October visit.

Thank you!

I live here and can tell you that mid Oct is still summer here. :)

Days are in the mid-high 80's with nights in the low 70's high 60's. The humidity is usually in check as well.

Unless you are like most of us living in FL, the evening temps probably won't need a jacket. :goodvibes

Another local here:) In the 13 years that I have lived here it has usually been in the mid-high 80's still on Halloween. One year it was mid 90's. And as the pp said, not cooling down in the evenings in October. Have a great trip!

Thank you! So glad to hear it will be nice weather. We are so excited!

so glad to read this info...heading in October, too, and was wondering what kinds of costumes the kiddies should wear at night. thanks!

I have to disagree. I've been on many October trips to WDW, and the weather can be steaming hot or it can be cold enough to need a jacket. One trip I had a bit of both, it went from very hot to pretty darned cold.

I would pack mostly summer, but also a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt for each person, just in case.

We just got home and we were at the party on Friday night. I was in shorts and a tee and I have no idea how people were tolerating the heat in their costumes. It was so fun to see them all but I was dying hot and if I had anything long or layered, I'd be passed out with heat stroke...lol.

I'm from CT so I'm in shorts and flip flops until October when it gets down in the 60's so 80's to me is hot, plus the humidity last week...ugh!

It must just be relative. Southerners are more adjusted to the heat I guess.

Definitely plan for warmer weather. It doesn't really start to feel like fall until November usually!
