Wearing of lime green

My DH and I willl be spending our Honeymoon at WDW March 27-April 2 2005, I am going to try yo get DH to wear the Lime Green, but I know I will be please fell free to speak to us we are not hard to miss anyway i ahve long blond hair and we should be wearing our shirts, name tags(from our wedding lol) and nouse ears lol you know bride and groom lol to cute. anywho we are real friendly so speak up. I LOVE DIS!

Lime green? Not sure if I have anything that color. But my job's current colors in our catalog are "spring" so close to lime colored stuff is there.

But I don't think I will be carrying a lime colored mousepad with me into the World. But I do think of the DIS, when I see some of our products.

I'll definately make sure to tie some lime green ribbons to my backpack next time I'm in The World! Will probably make my family think I'm insane if anyone comes up and starts talking to me!! Does the lime green rule apply to Disneyland Paris, California etc too or is it just WDW?

Welcome to the DIS!! Once you sign on, you never leave!!! The wearing of the (lime) green is a way for you to be recognized as a fellow DIS member when you're out and about at Disney!! It is an AWESOME way to meet other DISers.

I've posted about this a couple of times but I met other DISers at TOT and I met Donna (PandyPaws) at AK. She's a driver at KS and it was AWESOME to see her. I will be there May 23-30 with my mom and Josh. We get the HD paint thingys and put safety pins through them with our names (and my username) on them. I also had a DIS LIME GREEN T-shirt on. It's so much fun and I just LOVE meeting other DISers!!! Josh thinks its cool that people know who he is just from me posting here. I love this place!!

Just for people to know who would like a comfortable lime green shirt, the exact DIS color..Walmart carries a lime green very comfortable shirt made by White Stag in the large Women sizes (not sure about the regular misses sizes or not). It is round necked and a very attractive shirt..I will be wearing mine this week....

You will find Lime green to be a very popular clothing color - and that very few of the ones you see in this color will be DISers. Boy, I found that out the hard way...LOL Wear lime green but ALSO have green ribbons, or Mickey heads or SOMETHING to distinguish yourself as a bone fide DIS member. I won't be approaching anyone else until I know for sure you are a DISer.

If you have an "AC Moore" near you. You can get lime green T shirts there... I pay about 3.00 each for them...

I had Mickey heads last year and did not see anyone.....Ill have them again this year and Ill be on the look out .....It will be in July.....Hope to be able to meet one or two "Diser"...

Honestly, last month, I saw a couple people wearing ribbons but didn't have the testicular fortitude to go over and say "hi". How do you introduce yourself anyways? "Hi, I'm Laugh O. Grams, are you Bubba's Mom/Stich Inside/Safetymom/etc.?"

I tried the whole LIME GREEN thing last year at Disney and I swear I met someone but I didn't get their names. We were at Animal Kingdom, in early June, around midday. They took a picture for us. The problem was that I could not get my husband to wear anything lime green except the cooler fan that we got from Wal-Mart. There were ALOT of people wearing Lime Green. I'll be at Disney about the same time as "josh'smom". I'm going to HD this time so I don't have to hear it. I'll be on the lookout

I'd say..."Are you wearing that lime green shirt becuz you belong to the Disney boards?" then, go from there. introductions, what board you frequent, where you're staying, any DIS tips, etc......heck, ya might have the same schedule..you never know!

I cut Mickey head balloons out of LIME GREEN CARD STOCK. I put DIS in black than our user names. I clipped mine to my lanyard and other one on my backpack that dh usually wears.

I have found disers by chance. Once on boat from MGM to Epcot because she read my shirt(riddlecon one). Once going through gate at AK and CM was Diser and saw lime green. and Once I about got flattened by a a certain towncrier.
also a family sat across from us at Donalds rest. and they were wearing dis t shirts ( i'm not sure if DH/my friend spotted lime green shirts or family saw our tags).

good to know,,why am i always the last to know these things?soooo...now I am looking for lime green stuff to wear..t shirts,hats,socks,hair ribbons,,,,back pack ...smething....so if u r going in JUNE and you see a weird looking girl with BRIGHT red hair(maybe in pigtails) with a weird looking guy with a shaved head,,say hi,,it just might be DH and I.....

We'll be there in June, 2005 too! Maybe we'll see you there. I bought some lime green to wear and a lime green bag to carry. Let's see, blond woman, w/ husband in glasses, 3 year old with white/blond hair and the grandparents. What week will you be there? We're going June 13 - 19. Have a great time!

I already had alot of my things for Disney before I found out what the Dis color was But I went to Wal-Mart and bought a big Peice of Lime green ribbion, and stiched D I S down it one for my hair and one for what ever else I decide and it was only $.27.

DisneyKidForever, Great idea! We can write D-I-S on our ribbons. So simple yet I would've overlooked it. We'll be there from April 24-30 so I hope I see some DISers there. I think I'll put lime green ribbon (yes, with DIS written on it) on our backpack so if you see me say hello!!
