I truly have no idea about the rules on this one. I know that sometimes people wear different "costumes" to WDW--like SWW there's all kinds of folks walking around in costume. I want to take my graduation cap/gown with me and get a picture taken in front of the Castle. Is this going to be a problem? I'm not going to wear it all day--as a matter of fact, what a PAIN that would be!!! But I would love to go early and get a few pictures taken and then stuff the cap/gown in a locker the rest of the day. Is there a policy against this?

Good for you for getting your Masters. I would take the cap and gown and do it. Trust me no one will think the worse for it. I would try and get there early just so there will not be a lot of others in your picture.

Sounds like fun! :thumbsup2 If I saw someone posing in their cap and gown I'd probably give them my congratulations. I can't imagine there are rules against it, so go for it!

Congrats on your masters! I can't see why anyone at WDW would care if you wore your cap and gown for a pic in front of the castle. As a matter of fact, I think most people would think it was a really neat idea! I say go for it! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies and good wishes!! :goodvibes This Master's degree has been quite an odyssey for me. When I began in Fall 2002, I was employed full time and I had a medically complex, but stable, 6 year old. In the 4 years I've been in school, we've been through dialysis, a kidney transplant, and 2 job site changes!!! DS is stable again (and quite healthy) and I finally get to graduate!!! As you can imagine, this trip to WDW and standing in front of the Castle in my cap and gown will be a dream come true for me and DS10!!!

Thank you for making my day!! :wave2: :thanks: :disrocks:

Since there is no Disney character that dresses up in a cap and gown,I don't see a problem with you doing that. Congrats on the degree!!

Congratulations! There's not a policy that I know of that would prohibit you from doing this. I've seen women wearing their wedding gowns through Disney World. A cap and gown is nothing. And I'll bet you get a great picture since everyone around you will know it's a special day.
