Strange question but I need to ask... I can't see anything but blur without my glasses. At WDW, I usually take my glasses off for Space Mt, Tot, RocknRoller Coaster....

I am ok with them on for BTRM... what about at DL?

Matterhorn? Indiana Jones? California Screamin'? what did it miss?

Thanks all!

It sounds like my vision is similar to yours!

I always wear my specs--on all the rides. I have never felt like I needed to reach up and secure them, but I would rather do that than be flying blind.:lmao:

Screamin' is the only mild risk -- only upside down coaster. No problem with any of the others - I do it all the time.

The first couple trips I attached a strap to my glasses for California Screamin' but last summer I forgot to bring it & had no problems. Rode it twice in a row & never felt like it was an issue.

My FIL brought a strap to attach to his glasses for screamin' and all those other rough rides. That way he could see, but not loose his glasses. He would just put it on in line and take it off when we got off. IMO, if there is a pouch on the ride to put stuff in, you probably should put your glasses in or hold onto them (or have a strap). I at least use that at my rule of thumb with my sunglasses.

DD14 wears glasses, she hasn't had any issues with hers staying on. I wear sunglasses and I haven't had any problems either. If you're worried just get a strap. :)

My DD10 wears her glasses on all of the rides, is seriously visually impaired without them and has never had a problem.

I wear my sunglasses on screamin' with no issue.

I've never had my sunglasses move even a little bit on any ride but I wouldn't mess around with corrective lenses. Strap 'em or wear a backup pair on the rides.

I wear my glasses on all the rides and never had any problems--including California Screamin. I haven't used a strap since I was much younger, but if that helps with having peace of mind, definitely go for it. They won't cost you much and you won't worry about your glasses. :goodvibes

i stop at the stroller rental place and buy a glasses cord w/ little mickys on each side every time i go to dlr. cheap souvenier. wish they had donald ones.
never had them come off on a ride, but can't read with them on so i like to let them dangle:cool2:

I wear my sunglasses on every ride and DH wears his glasses on every ride. He does put a strap on them for Screamin' - just in case. Mine never move, I assume his wouldn't move, either. But, better safe than sorry.

Interesting to find this thread. For the first time ever, a couple of weeks ago I had a CM at Splash Mountain mention to me to hold on to my glasses. I thought it was a little odd. Perhaps my glasses looked loose? :confused3 Don't know, but they were fine on SM and all the other rides we went on. :goodvibes

I have never had to take my glasses off on a ride. However, I have clips for my sun glasses and do remove those on Matterhorn and BMTR.

I usually take mine off. Dh leaves his one. I can not see with out mine and I am always afraid I will lose them or break them. I guess I will have to give it a try on our upcoming trip.

DH has stubbornly worn his sunglasses on every thrill ride at WDW and DLR and never lost them. DS14 and DD11 both wear glasses and have never taken them off. I think the G-forces on CA Screamin pretty much paste them to your face anyway.

I have actuallly lost my glasses on Space Mountain, and I can't see much without them so the rest of our trip was not too much fun. So I always take them off now just to be safe.

'I take mine off for California Screamin'. . .the ride is butt ugly anyway. . .and Space Mountain. . .because it is in the dark. . .I will sometimes take them off for Splash Mountain and just tuck them into my top. . .but then I had a lense pop out at Disneyland Paris which TOTALLY ruined my trip so I am paranoid. . .
