wearing a veil?

Me and my DF are having our wedding at home in northern Kentucky then having our honeymoon at Disney. But my question i am wondering is if you are wearing a veil or not. The way i want to wear my hair it make it hard to wear one so do u think it necessary? If you have pics of u in ur veil or not with a veil i would like to see.

I'm getting married next year and I am wearing a veil.. It is finger tip length and do not plan on wearing it over my face doing the whole lift it at the alter thing.. but it makes me feel more like a bride to wear one! I don't think it is necessary though it is all what makes you happy! I'm sure some of the brides will be on shortly!

I also felt weird wearing a veil, so I wore a feather fascinator (sometimes called a "headpiece" in the US) instead!

UGH, I do no want to wear a veil, but my mother will be heartbroken if I don't. We argued about it while we were dress shopping. So we compromised, I will wear it during the ceremony, but as soon as it's over I'm ripping that sucker out of my hair!!!

I will be wearing a veil, but not doing the lifting at the altar. Halfway thru pics it's coming off, and staying off. I feel a little more bride-like with it.

My cousin did not wear a viel at her wedding and it looked just fine. I think it all depends on what you perfer and what your comfy with.

I tried on some veils when I was dress shopping, and I just felt ridiculous in allof them, so I don't think I'm weairing one

I didn't wear a veil. I have a small head (no, really) and in every veil I tried on I looked like I was being eaten by the tulle monster! Even my mom agreed I looked ridiculous in a veil. I also felt a veil was more "formal" than the wedding style we were going for. I wore a tiara but had my hairdresser put it on more as a headband. I was very, very happy with the final look.

I really don't think that a veil is for me, but I still wanted to do something fun, so I think I'm going with a birdcage veil. Those are the little half fishnet veils that only come to your nose or a little lower. It's kind of 50's and simple. The only decoration is some crystals along the bottom edge, although I may go with a fascinator as well. But I'm really indecisive, so who knows!

i wore a fingertip veil..I made it myself. Our courthouse ceremony, I pulled the veil off for going out to dinner and left the comb in (the veil had little elastic loops I fed into the comb) but I wore it all night for the VR.. i kept the blusher back

Here's mine! I wore it in the back so that it would look more modern. You couldn't even really see it if you were looking at me head on... I took it out for our reception dinner though.
