wearing a backpack or handbag in the park

My shoulder freaks out if I do cross-body all day. I use a drawstring backpack from Lands End - it has thicker ropes than the cheap ones. We have taken it twice - love it. Usually DH and I both take one for ponchos, DD's EpiPen case, sunscreen, water, etc.

I also used a "Vera Bradley" type cross over bag my last trip. It did get heavy after a long day and I am considering a small backpack next visit. Backpacks get really hot, though. I am considering all alternatives. I am getting a water bottle carrier like a Neosling and fill up the water bottle.

In February I used a bag that it's the same style as the baggalini messenger bag and I didn't like it. The size was perfect to carry everything that I wanted. That part was good. But I was always taking it off for pictures (we had memory maker so we stopped at a lot of photographers) and I couldn't get it off while wearing my Minnie ears. I had to take the ears off first, take the bag off, ears back on, and quick fix stray hairs every time we took a picture. Then ears off again to put the bag back on. Since then I have bought a cross body to use on our next trip. I'm debating a straight up backpack though.

I haven't read the above. My favorite is a Disney Parks string backpack I bought several years ago. I don't carry anything heavy in it like water bottles. It is light and thin and easy for me to use.

Found a new lightweight LLBean backpack that can also fold up. Has rave reviews. Looks like I may be getting me one of those.
