Wear key cards on a lanyard???

So when we go to WDW should we bring down a hole puncher and punch our key cards and wear them around our necks? Can we do that with Photo Pass as well or will the two cards together mess up the room key card? Also are they good places to get Disney lanyards in Downtown Disney?
