We made an unplanned evening trip to MK after eating at Hoop Dee Doo. It was raining when we came and we hoped that it would clear out the park and then stop raining. That's exactly what happened. After a few rides, we ended up at Goofy's Barnstormer. My kids were going on it over and over and over. (This is the first ride that we've let them go on alone.) They were having so much fun and there was no line so we just let them keep going. I was standing near the entrance and my DH was standing near the exit.
He said he was watching a Dream Team member talk with another cast member. The Team members (Wes) then started blowing bubbles at her and my DH laughed at the antics. That's when Wes approached him and asked who he was waiting for. He said the kids and Wes said he would like to give us a Dream. He said we had to meet him at Astro Orbiter's exit at 9:40.
My DH told us we won a dream and we didn't really believe it, but we walked over there and it was true. He wouldn't tell us what it was until we got there. Another family had also won the same dream.
We got to take the elevator to the top of Astro Orbitor and watch the fireworks from along the rail. It is a bit disjointed from that angle because part of the fireworks come off the castle and part of them come from behind and to the side of the castle.
We did get a really good look at Tinkerbell as she flew along, but we couldn't really hear the soundtrack very well. And the people waiting in line for Astro Orbitor were very noisy so that made it hard to hear too.
It was so fun to win. My DH does believe it's because he was interacting with Wes, our Dream Granter. (And my DH isn't even all that educated about the whole dream thing and what the Dream Team wears, etc.) And Wes was so cool. We got to chat with him for a while and that was as great as the fireworks.
We also saw Wes when we were leaving the park and that was fun too.
