We saw the oncologist today, and he advised us against going to WDW at Christmas because he wants Roger my DH to start his chemotherapy straight away.
Obviously I am very sad, but realise that Roger's health has to come first.
Carolyn:( :( :( :(

Sorry to hear that Carolyn, but I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip all the more later when your husband has been treated and is well again.

Good luck with the treatment, and my best wishes for his and your future.

:Pinkbounc :eek: :crazy: ::yes:: :bounce:

Although you'll feel disappointed now, once Roger is undergoing his treatment you'll know the cancellation is for the best possible reason - his health.

Lots of good wishes coming your way. :grouphug:

Carolyn,it is sad about your holiday.

Perhaps you can both talk about and plan the holiday you will have when he is better and you're both over this tough time.

Karen xx

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip :( Best wishes to you all, I hope the treatment goes to plan and you'll soon be re-planning your next trip :)

Carolyn ~

I can understand your disappointment. Chemotherapy takes so much out of people but in the long term its best to get it started and then you can both look forward to the many more holidays that you can plan and take together.

A difficult time for you all Carolyn. I hope Roger responds very well to the treatment and you get your trip together next year.

Sorry to hear about your trip Carolyn :(

Wishing Roger well for his treatment.

So sorry to hear that you have to cancel your trip.

I hope the treatment goes well and that you can strat planning another trip in the near future.

:( ..sad news Carolyn. Hope the treatment goes well.

Carolyn, you never cancel....you postpone , and this is for a good reason.
Hope the treatment works. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

I'm sorry to hear you've had to cancel, but I'm pleased to hear Roger's treatment is starting soon. The sooner he starts the sooner it's over.

I hope everything goes well,

love Libby

Thank you all for your sympathy and support. I must admit I shed a few tears today. Just feeling sorry for myself I guess. Anyway I've pulled myself together now, and I shall start to plan a return in the Summer maybe. Does anyone know of any insurance companies who would insure someone in our position? Carolyn

So sorry to hear you will have to miss your Christmas trip, Carolyn. I do hope that Roger's treatment goes well and that he soon makes a complete recovery. :grouphug:

I'm not sure how insurance differs for different kinds of cancer, but once my DH was in remission for testicular cancer it didn't cost us any more for travel insurance although we did have to declare his condidtion. I think that in our case if DH had found another lump then it would not have needed emergency hospitalisation abroad but could be dealt with once home again.
