We will be in Orlando from Saturday Oct. 15-Sat. Oct. 29, 2011. We won't plan anything on our travel days (unless our departure day has us leaving late), so that leaves us with 13 days to do stuff (plus rest). It'll be me, DH, and our 4 kids (DDs ages 9,6.5,4.5 and DS 2). DDs 10th birthday will be about half way through our trip and DS will be almost 3. We are renting in Windsor Hills for the 2 weeks and will have a rental car.

How would you break up your trip?

We will definitely be doing the MNSSHP and most of our time in WDW, but would like to do Sea World and other things too. I'm not sure if US would be good for our kids ages. I wouldn't think of doing the one in CA until they were older.

There's plenty to do.

I thought US would be fine for kids..plus Islands of Adventure is next to it.

On the "other" category...it all depends on what your group likes.

If you're a AAA member you can order a tour book for free online.
or
visit your local library and get travel books on the Orlando Area.

We don't have kids but we enjoyed this place.

Also, there's an Audubon Bird Sanctuary in Maitland. Where they care for
injured birds...you get to see birds like eagles, barn owls, etc. up close
and talk to their caretakers.

Just some ideas. Have a great trip.

I know there's lots to do...I think that's my biggest problem!! Too much to choose from. :rotfl: Thanks for the AAA tip. We ARE members!

There are two state parks near where you are staying. They are great for a down day from the amusment parks, and have canoe and boat rental for just $20. It's a chance to get a feel for the real everglades in central Florida.
