We were supposed to be at Universal this weekend

We were supposed to arrive yesterday and stay through Monday. With the covid surge and many flights being cancelled, we decided to cancel and rebook for the end of Feb. But now it's 12 degrees and windy here and all I can think about is that we could've been at Universal right now. So I'm reading all of the posts here, looking at menus, and looking forward to the end of Feb!

I feel ya. We had to cancel our December trip and push it to Spring Break. I’m trying to psych myself up about the Mardi Gras food booths - will they still be there in April?

We cancelled too! Was supposed to fly there the 13th and leave the 19th to celebrate DH’s 50th birthday (daughter would’ve missed 3 days of school)!!! I feel a little sad being home but I know we made the best decision for my family right now. We have plans for June so trying to focus and look forward to that.

We canceled our original plans for Nov (which was the reschedule of our 2020 trip). We went last week and had a good time but it was also more stressful than a Uni trip would normally be. .

You made the best decision you could with the info you had at the time. It’s all you can do.

I second the HP marathon or something else you enjoy. Uni will be there when you’re ready and able.

We were supposed to go yesterday (15th), just DH and I. I was already leaning toward canceling when my mom ended up in the hospital so I cancelled. She passed away Thursday so definitely made the right call.
We are hoping to go with 2 of our kids in early March and I sure hope it happens, especially since that trip is rescheduled from October.

Sorry about the cancelled plans, but February will be a great time to go! Watch some vlogs, keep reading the forums here, and keep getting excited!
I can't imagine the kind of weather/temps y'all have up there. I grew up in the deep south, and only saw snow 2 times as a kid, and a few times as an adult, and it's nothing y'all would call real snow. Now in middle TN, we get snow a lot more often, but our temps are not usually lower than teens/20s, so I still can't imagine that kind of cold up there! Stay warm!
