Wow where do I get this dromamine or whatever...I cant afford to miss Mission Space

Hope they tweak it!!! I can get sick from numerous theme parks in our area. Disney - I dont go to be sick - I go there to be euphorious!!!!!

You can get it at just about any drug store or supermarket. I would get the non-drowsey kind . The regular kind might make you really tired.

Like dianna112198 said, get the non-drowsey kind! Try it out at home first though! The first time I had the non-drowsey one I was still knocked out for a while. After my nap I was fine the rest of the day and didn't have any more problems with being sleepy or nausea! Everyone does react differently though, but I wouldn't want to find out the hard way.

I too get sick on Body Wars. But DS and his friend will be thrilled when I tell them about this ride!

On our very last full day at WDW it opens to the public. So you know I have to re-do our schedule so we can be at Epcot that day!!

Thanks so much for telling us about your experience. I can't wait to ride this in December. I have ridden in a centrifuge ride thing at the Space Museum at Huntsville, AL when I was younger and it was awesome. The whole weightless thing is really awesome. That's why I love catching air on ToT! Our first visit to Epcot during our trip, December 15th, can't get here soon enough for me! Mickey

Yes, there is a chicken exit. Its in the area where Gary Sinese explans your mission. He even mentions if anyone would like to go they will be taken to mission control by a CM. I suppose this is the area with the games.

It seemed to me that the G forces lasted forever but DH guesses around 30 seconds or so.

Boy talk about being in the right place at the right time!!! My dd's are all excited about riding Mission Space. I'll be the one taking the chicken exit like I do on TOT and RnR.

Thanks so much for posting your experience. Hopefully people who have trouble with their stomachs will be able to find something to help them.
I don't experience that kind of problem on any rides, so I'm really looking forward to experiencing it!

Yikes! The idea of Body Wars nausea and being in a tight confined space makes me feel kind of yucky. I'll be reading lots of reviews of this one!

You are extremely lucky, and I am extremely jealous. I'm really hoping they will do more "testing" in July, when I'm there. Though I have had my share of test rides. I was a subject for test track, and Jaws at Universal.

Perhaps Quasi's foreknowledge worked against her. There have been other reports of people who haven't heard about M:S and its effects, who have raved about this ride.

People seem to be so caught up with the word "spinning" - forget that word! As Quasi said, you don't feel it.

Since she knew it was a centrifuge, perhaps she was preparing for it, possibly even waiting to feel sick. - No offense intended.

I think if you like this ride concept you need to go in with no preconcieved notions or you will make yourself sick no matter what. Of course no one wants to spew in a ride, but do you think WDW would have spent all this time and money on this ride to have no one ride it?

i'm not one for the rides that leave me feeling ill, but i will most likely ride MS for the experience...i'm ok with everything except body wars. i've tried it again and again and it leaves the same yicky feeling every time...my favorite is ToT though...i won't be there until dec of 2004, so maybe if there is anything they can do to tweak it or whatever, then it will be done by then..

Quasi123 -- you mentioned something about being in a "close" area? How small is the area you are in? Would a large person have a hard time fitting? Did I read somewhere that each of the 4 people in the car is in his/her own little compartment, separated from the others by walls?

The area where you sit seemed to me about as wide as a car seat would be but I have to admit I didn't pay that much attention to it. I think a large person could probably fit. I do remember there being plenty of shoulder room. It is similar to having your own compartment but if you lean forward and turn your head you can see the person beside you. You are told not to do this though because it will cause disorientation. There is a panel in front of you with buttons to push and your view screen. This is all within arm's length. I hope I've answered your question.

The problem is...even at the attraction it mentions spinning. There are signs and warnings that say if you are bothered by enclosed spaces, darkness, and/or spinning...you should not ride.

Now...I rode it twice today, and I had read enough to know it probably wouldn't bother me, and it didn't. But spinning DOES bother me and body wars as well. I don't go on the tea cups and I don't go on body wars. I went on Mission Space back to back times with NO ill effects (aside from that somewhat lightheaded, spacey (get it? ) feeling) I think it is REALLY important to follow the advice to sit facing forward (and somebody made a separate thread on just that!) with your head back. I'm thinking people who experienced nausea either are extremely prone to motion sickness and closing their eyes would help (cuz I really don't believe it's the spinning that is causing it) and were maybe worked up about it in the first place, or perhaps many of them didn't heed the warnings about facing forward with your head back. And, they have probably tweaked it to some degree as well.

Anyway, I found it to be extremely intense, but really awesome!!!
My kids are away and are gonna kill me when they find out I got to ride!
